"Coming Closer"

Collection: SEARCH (2016–2022)

"Coming Closer" is a contemplative ceramic bust, its smooth, minimalist form crowned by two small human figures positioned on opposite sides of the head. They lean forward, their arms reaching above the crown to embrace — a tender, poetic gesture that defies the physical space between them.

The composition becomes a metaphor for love without boundaries: the way two souls can reach one another across any distance — physical, energetic, spiritual, or psychological — to be together and to feel the bond of love.

Collection SEARCH — a rare and completed chapter

This sculpture belongs to SEARCH — a rare and intimate collection of hand-modeled clay busts, created during Elisaveta Sivas’ profound artistic and spiritual quest between 2016 and 2022.

Each piece in the series is a symbolic self-inquiry, exploring themes of love, relationship, identity, and the invisible threads that connect us. The compositions of heads combined with smaller figurative forms act as metaphysical allegories, inviting the viewer to contemplate the deeper questions of life.

The SEARCH period is a now-completed chapter in the artist’s evolution — which makes every work from this series a rare, unrepeatable artifact of her inner transformation. These sculptures will never be recreated or continued in the same way, making each one a true collector’s treasure.
