"Affectionate Relation" is a meditative ceramic sculpture that captures a sacred, intimate moment between a horsewoman and her horse. The figure leans toward the animal in a silent gesture of tenderness, where love, trust, and profound inner calm merge into a single, flowing movement.
The theme of the horse has accompanied the artist throughout her life. The image and feeling of this noble, free and wise creature has always lived within Elisaveta. It is a memory carried across generations: her grandfather kept herds of horses, and although they never met, the emotional resonance of that heritage remains in her body - a subtle, inherited sense of reverence.
For the artist, the horse symbolizes freedom - a freedom she spent years searching for in the outside world, only to discover it within herself. The sculpture reflects her personal realization that true freedom emerges from inner release, from healing the nervous system, from returning to one’s own nature and to unity with the world.
Minimalist in form and serene in its presence, “Affectionate Relation” becomes a metaphor for this inner journey - a moment of openness, softness, and connection with all living beings.
